I blew $5.50 on a cab ride from home to school (after school), just because I had forgotten to bring my photographs. I can't believe it slipped my mind; I actually spent an entire hour transferring them over the day before. Guh.

But I suppose I shouldn't be complaining too much. It's quite pleasing to hear that *koff* I've an eye for composition *koff*, and mind, from a viper-tongued pro-photographer. & I'm not saying all this jibberish to brag or anything - my pictures were really mortifying, looking back at them. Point is, at least I know that the many previous photo-taking sessions counted as practice, somehow. So I guess I'm going to do the camera senseless, now that I have a vague idea of what I can actually do, without it being an eventual flop or a complete waste of my time. Or both.

Call me childish, but Two weeks with the Queen actually made me want to re-read it. I can't place a finger on the reason why, but there's definately a special quality about it. Witty, or maybe because it's really heartfelt? I wouldn't know. Morris Gleitzman might be just another children's author but this book's fantastic. I never, ever thought that such a gem could be found in the school library.

Speaking of which, LJ communities = bestest fucking shite. Ever! Where on the Earth is Carmen Sandiego?
